4 Day shoebill tracking, White water rafting and Sipi Falls

This short tour takes you to the Mabamba swamp in search of the prehistoric shoe bill stork which is one of the critically endangered birds. From Mabamba you will head to Jinja for your days adventure while rafting on the Nile river. A day in Sipi falls is a great adventure with he hike to the falls and a nature walk through the hills of Mbale with scenic views.

Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1

Mabamba Swamp and Transfer to Jinja

After breakfast in the morning, you will drive to the Mabamba where you will take a boat to the swamp in search of the shoe bill stork. While on the boat, several other birds can be seen and its a great trek for those who are in love with birds and photography.

This takes 2 to 3 hours from which you will then have lunch and transfer to Jinja.

Reach late in the afternoon to check in at your lodge. Dinner will be served at the lodge on your convenient time proposed.

DAY 2

White Water Rafting and Transfer to Sipi Falls

After breakfast in the morning, you will drive to your rafting starting point where you will be briefed and registered to start the activity.

After your rafting adventure, you will then have lunch and prepare to drive to Kapchorwa where Sipi falls are located.

Reach in the evening to check in at the lodge and later have dinner at your convenient time.

DAY 3

Hike To Sipi Waterfall And Coffee Tour

After breakfast, you will start the hike to the falls. The Sipi falls is comprised of 3 waterfalls each flowing from a different altitude. The highest fall drops from an altitude of 100m referred to as the main fall since it is the last fall in the series, this fall is a little bigger than the other two falls, but all give Uganda a beautiful scenery.

In fact most people say that Sipi falls are the 'most romantic falls' in Uganda which is evidenced by the wonderful falls. This area is majorly where most hikes to Mount Elgon are started from. Hiking up to these falls gives a beautiful scenic view, like the karamoja low lands, coffee plantations and other surrounding areas.

Later in the Afternoon you will visit the coffee Plantations and transfer back to the lodge.

DAY 4

Transfer to Entebbe

Have breakfast in the morning before you drive off back to Entebbe. On this last day of the trip you may choose to visit Sezibwa waterfalls which is a few kilometers from Kampala. Lunch en-route as you proceed to Entebbe.
