Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
After meeting your tour guide with a 4x4 safari vehicle at your hotel in Kigali, you'll visit the Kigali Genocide Museum to pay respects to the victims of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide against the Tutsi.
Then you'll depart the lively capital and journey northwest for about 2.5 hours through picturesque, rolling hills and busy market towns to reach the breathtaking Volcanoes National Park. This is the site of Dian Fossey's groundbreaking mountain gorilla research.

Golden Monkey tracking - Volcanoes National park Rwanda and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Uganda
An early morning breakfast will be followed by a transfer to Kinigi Park headquarters for a golden monkey tracking briefing. Then, you will hike up into the rainforest to a troop of golden monkeys.
After the day experience, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park/ Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Gorilla tracking
After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the ranger station for Uganda Gorilla Trekking Briefing on dos and don'ts while you will be interacting with gorillas.
Afterward, you will be accompanied by a senior ranger guide and hike into the forest in search of gorillas. Once you find them you usually have an hour with them, time to sit and observe them at very close quarters of 10 meters.
After the experience, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

Upon completion of a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kigali, Rwanda. Upon arrival in Kigali, your driver guide will be informed of the drop-off location, which can be either at your hotel or at the airport, depending on your outbound departure time.
