The tour takes you through the Rwanda - Uganda Chyanika board to Kisoro town on the Uganda side. Short as it is but its very scenic and surely rewording.
Detailed itinerary
Transfer from Kigali to Uganda
Our guide will pick you up from Kigali International Airport or your hotel and brief you about your tour. Before your journey to Uganda, you can tour the city of Kigali and important sites like the genocide war memorial centers. After touring the city, you will embark on a 4-hour drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park through Cyanika (the Uganda—Rwanda border). After Cyanika, you will head to Kisoro, a town close to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
This journey will allow you to see Rwanda and Uganda's beautiful countryside and landscapes. Rwanda has eye-catching rolling hills and plantations, while Uganda has dense green forests. Dinner and overnight will be at the Ikoro Hotel, which has fabulous views of the volcanoes.

Gorilla Trekking and Departure
You will wake up very early to have breakfast. Our guide will pick you up and take you to the park offices, where you will be briefed and given information regarding tracking gorillas. You will be assigned a gorilla group and allowed to hire a porter at a cost of 15USD. Your lodge should arrange a packed lunch and drinking water for you.
Gorilla trekking takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours, depending on the location of your assigned gorilla family that particular day. Once you spot the gorillas, take as many photos as possible and try to follow the instructions from the wardens/guides. After the trek, return to your hotel, freshen up, eat/drink, and check out. Our guide will take you back to Kigali International Airport or your hotel afterward.
