This 2 day Rwanda Chimpanzee trekking safari in Nyungwe forest national park will give you a unique experience of Rwanda's forests. You will have a short stopover at the ethnographic museum of Rwanda to learn more about the culture and history of the Rwandan people. You will soon be welcomed by the dew from the dense Nyungwe forest which is one of the remaining expanses of forest cover in Africa as you drive on the winding roads leading you to your hotel near Nyungwe forest.

Detailed Itinerary
Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park and Colobus monkey tracking.
Our journey will start early in the morning from your hotel in Kigali and we will then transfer southwards to Nyungwe forest national park, have lunch on arrival then start our trek of habituated Colobus monkeys in Nyungwe forest.
We will track a group near the edge of the forest in the Gisakura area. after this light and short trek.
We will return to our lodge for evening relaxation , Dinner and overnight.

Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe forest - transfer back to Kigali
Have an early breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters. You will be allocated a ranger to brief you about the chimpanzee trekking exercise.
After the Briefing, we will transfer to the start of the trek and move into the jungles to find the Chimpanzees. Once you find the Chimpanzees, you are allowed an hour to view and photograph them.
The trek can be both short and long, it all depends on the activities of chimpanzees at the end of the day our goal is to see them.
Return at the start point to meet your driver, Return to the lodge for lunch, check out and drive back to Kigali for drop off at your desired destination.
