Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1

Transfer From Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park Via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After an early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by our company representative / driver who will drive you to Murchison falls national park (a 290 kms and 4-5 hours' drive). En route visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary a 3 hours' drive from Kampala for Rhino trekking experience.

After the activity you will have lunch then connect to Murchison falls national park entering through Kichumbanyobo gate from Masindi town.

Arrive at the park in the late afternoon and connect to your accommodation facility / lodge to rest.

DAY 2

Game Drive and Boat safari

Begin your day with an early morning breakfast before embarking on a game drive at the Delta, where you may encounter a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, hyenas, and Uganda kobs, among others.

Return to the lodge for lunch, then at 2:00 PM, set out for a scenic boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. Enjoy breathtaking views of hippos and crocodiles along the riverbanks, as well as a variety of wildlife gathering to drink and bathe.

Following the boat cruise, embark on a transfer to the top of the falls for a guided hike, from where we will transfer back to our lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 3

Transfer From Murchison falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park, a journey of approximately 7 hours. Travel through picturesque landscapes, passing rolling hills, lush tea plantations, and rural villages, offering glimpses of local life. Along the way, enjoy occasional wildlife sightings and breathtaking views of Uganda’s countryside. A lunch stop will be arranged en route before continuing towards Kibale, renowned for its rich biodiversity and primate population, including chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, mangabeys, and bush babies. Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge and unwind amidst the tranquil rainforest surroundings. Prepare for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience the following day in one of Africa’s premier primate destinations. Dinner and overnight stay at your chosen lodge.

DAY 4

Chimpanzee Tracking In Kibale Forest National Park and Visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

After breakfast, depart with your packed lunch and bottled water. Your guide will drive you to the park headquarters for registration and a pre-tracking briefing. Following the briefing, you will be assigned to a group led by an experienced ranger, who will guide you through the forest in search of chimpanzees.

As you trek through the dense rainforest, you may encounter various other primates and a rich diversity of bird species. The tracking experience typically lasts between 2 to 5 hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees. Upon finding them, you will have the unique opportunity to spend one hour observing their behaviors, taking photographs, and gaining insight into their feeding and social habits.

DAY 5

Transfer from Kibale Forest National Park to to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early morning breakfast, together with your guide, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an exciting wildlife safari, a journey of approximately 3 hours. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the Rwenzori Block Mountains and cross the glacial River Nyamwamba, which originates from the Rwenzori Mountains.

As you approach Kasese town, pass through the fertile landscapes of the Mubuku Irrigation Scheme, where expansive gardens flourish, providing a glimpse into local agricultural practices. Upon arrival at the park, prepare for an unforgettable safari experience, encountering diverse wildlife and stunning scenery.

DAY 6

Game Drives in the Kasenyi and Crater Lakes Exploration

Start your day with an early breakfast before embarking on a 4–5 hour game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, renowned for its abundant wildlife. Upon arrival, complete park clearance formalities and proceed into the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park for an exhilarating safari experience.

As you traverse the savannah, keep an eye out for lions, leopards, elephants, Uganda kobs, and other fascinating wildlife. The park is also home to a variety of bird species, including the striking helmeted guinea fowl, Francolins, and lapwings.

Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before setting off for an afternoon to evening visit to the crater lakes, culminating in a breathtaking sunset view from the Kyambura Escarpment. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a journey of approximately 6 hours. Enjoy a scenic drive through the picturesque landscapes of southwestern Uganda, also known as the Switzerland of Africa, passing rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and rural communities. Along the way, you may spot wildlife and vast tea plantations and experience the region's rich cultural heritage.

A lunch stop will be arranged en route before continuing towards Bwindi, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge and unwind amidst the tranquil rainforest setting. Prepare for an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure the following day. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Bweza Gorilla Lodge

DAY 8

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early morning breakfast, you will receive a packed lunch from the lodge before being driven to the park headquarters for check-in and a pre-trekking briefing, which begins at 8:00 AM. We are expected to arrive by 7:20 AM to complete registration and enjoy entertainment by the local women or Batwa groups.

Following the briefing, We will embark on an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience guided by an experienced ranger. Trekking through Bwindi’s dense rainforest can take 4 hours or more, depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once the gorillas are found, You will spend one complete hour observing them, capturing photographs, and learning about their behaviors.

After the trek, you will return to the park office for a graduation ceremony, during which you will receive an official gorilla tracking certificate.

Later, We will drive to Lake Bunyonyi, where we can unwind and enjoy a peaceful afternoon of relaxation by Uganda’s most scenic lake.

Boat Trip on Lake Bunyonyi & Evening Hike to the "Top of the World"

Start your day with a scenic boat trip on Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second-deepest lake, known for its breathtaking beauty and 29 islands scattered across its calm waters. As you glide through the lake, enjoy the tranquil surroundings, visit historical islands such as Punishment Island, and learn about the rich cultural heritage of the communities living along the shores. Keep an eye out for a variety of bird species, as Lake Bunyonyi is a birdwatcher's paradise.

In the evening, embark on a rewarding hike to the "Top of the World", a panoramic viewpoint offering spectacular sunset views over the lake and the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda. After soaking in the breathtaking scenery, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay

Transfer to Entebbe International airport

After breakfast, depart for Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your incredible Ugandan adventure. Enjoy a scenic drive through rolling hills, lush countryside, and bustling towns, with an opportunity for brief stops to admire the landscape or purchase souvenirs.

Depending on your flight schedule, you may opt for a stopover at the Equator for a quick photo opportunity and to experience the famous water experiment. Upon arrival at the airport, your guide will assist with check-in procedures and bid you farewell, wishing you a safe journey home.
