Arrival and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda
On arrival our guide will be waiting for you at the airport, once you have checked out and loaded the truck, we will embark on a 4 day journey into the pearl of Africa when a holiday in Wakanda awaits.
The journey to the Ugandan border is purely scenic and don't forget to take a lot of pictures, our guide will help you with border crossing and checks, after the border it will take us only 1 and a half hours to arrive at Lake Bunyonyi where your holiday awaits.
Your four days will be spent at Sharps Island, a historical island that shaped the history of Kigezi region also known as the Switzerland of Africa, we will transfer from the mainland to the island by boat, and expect to see birds and otters.

Slow boat and visit the islands
Lake Bunyonyi has 29 islands and each one of them had a unique history, we will take a boat with a local guide who will share with us the history of the area, the people and cultures.
We will notably visit the punishment island, upside down island, Kyahugye island, the crane island, bushara island, bwama island and so many others, we will Also see birds and otters along the way, there is also wildlife on of the islands and we can choose to have lunch there.
After the boat tour we will return to our historic island for evening relaxation, while here you can do swimming or nature walks or just rest in your African hut.

Visit chevu Community and hike to kyabahinga hill,
We will embark on an adventurous boat to the village of Chevu at the extreme end of the lake, here we will find the Batwa or pigmy people who once lived in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park before being evicted in the early 1990s these people were gatherers and hunters now live on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi in chevu.
We will have a performance from them, and also walk in their town, after here will proceed to hike the kyabahinga hill which gives a chance to see the islands on Lake Bunyonyi.
As we hike we will go through communities with children and people working in gardens, feel free to ask questions, later in the evening cruise back to our base, This evening we will spend time pedaling a dugout canoe.

Transfer back to Kigali with a stopover at the Genocide Museum
After a heavy breakfast, it's time to say bye to our home for three days, we will transfer to the shore by boat and then embark on a five hour drive to the capital of the heart of Africa.
Scenic as usual and slow enough to allow pictures on the go, we will stop by the genocide museum, a place where over 250k victims of the 1994 mass ethnic cleansing are buried.
This place will take about 2 hrs and then have lunch at the cafe as a way of supporting them, from here we head to the airport and share last hugs as go back home.
