This 7 days back packing safari will highlight and introduce clients to beautiful Uganda's wildlife, nature and people. This trip starts from and ends in Entebbe. The trip will introduce you to two of Uganda's national parks, lake Bunyonyi and a city tour that will give you an encounter with Uganda's people and culture.

Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1

Arrival

On arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative/tour guide who will brief you about your trip and stay in Uganda.

You will then drive to your camping ground, help to set up tents, and arrange what we will eat on that day, later after that you head to your tent for relaxation dinner and overnight as you prepare for the next day's activity.

DAY 2

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast early in the morning, your guide/drive will pick you up from your lodge and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park via Masaka. You will have a stopover at the equator for photo moments and then proceed on your journey through Masaka to Mbarara.

Lunch en-route at Ishanyu foods and then proceed to the park via Bushenyi where you will pass through the beautiful tea plantations and Kalinzu forest with great views. Reach the park in the evening and check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3

Game Drive and Boat safari

Wake up early in the morning for breakfast, your guide will then drive you to the park for your morning game drive. Check in at the park as you start your game drive with expectations to encounter many animals including, Uganda kobs, lions, elephants, leopards and buffalos among others. Drive to Katunguru for lunch and preparation for the afternoon boat.

After lunch, you will transfer to Kazinga channel for your boat ride where you expect to see so many animals as they come by the lake side to quench their thirst and take a bath.

After 2 hours on the boat, you will then transfer back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After your morning breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park via Kagamba - Ntungamo road. You will have en-route visit to the Kitagata hot springs as you proceed to Kabale.

We shall have a lunch stop in Kabale and then proceed to Bwindi. You will reach late in the afternoon; check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5

Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Wake up early in the morning and have your prepared breakfast at the lodge, you will then be handed with your packed lunch for your day. Your guide will drive you to the park headquarters for your briefing on the dos and the don'ts while trekking through the forest and when you are with the gorillas.

On encountering the gorillas, you will be allowed one hour with the gorilla family taking photos and interacting with the great apes. You will then trek back to the park offices for your graduation and gorilla tracking certificates.

Your guide will transfer you to Lake Bunyonyi for an adventure on the deepest lake in Uganda. Check in at the lodge, and move to the lake for a boat and catching a sunset on the lake. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6

Transfer to Kampala

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to Kampala via Mbarara. Lunch en-route either in Mbarara or Masaka depending on the time you will have set off from Lake Bunyonyi.

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to Kampala via Mbarara. Lunch en-route either in Mbarara or Masaka depending on the time you will have set off from Lake Bunyonyi. You will then have a stop at the Mpambire drum village for a drum making experience and proceed on to your journey.

Check in at your hotel as you prepare for the next day.

Day 6 accommodation

DAY 7

City Tour and Transfer to Entebbe

After an early morning breakfast, your guide will then drive you through Kampala for a city tour as the last activity of the safari. You will drive to the museum for a visit and short study about Uganda's history and culture.

You will have Lunch in the local restaurant in Kampala and the drive to Kasubi tombs to learn about the Buganda kings and culture.

Drive to the airport or lodge depending on the arrangements.
