Transfer to Akagera national park
After breakfast, you will set off for Akagera national park in eastern Rwanda bordering Tanzania. You will bird the marshy areas for species like cattle egret, hamerkop, sacred and hadada ibis, crested eagle, and pied crow .
You will arrive at your lodge later that evening and check in for the night.

Game drive and transfer to volcanoes national park
Wake up early and leave right after breakfast with a packed lunch for a game drive in Akagera national park which will last about 6 hours.
You will be searching for the big mammals like Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, several Antelope species, and recently the re-introduced Lions and Rhinos. The park is a varied habitat for wildlife and a birders haven with over 500 bird species.
You will take the route along the lake which more often has a variety of animals. From here, transfer to volcanoes national park in Musanze for dinner and overnight stay.

Gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National park
After the briefing from the senior park ranger commence your memorable gorilla trekking adventure which normally takes 1 to 8 hours in the jungle.
Once you find the gorillas, you will be allowed one full hour with them, enough time to study them, take pictures and record videos.
After the gorilla trek, your safari guide will transfer you back to the lodge for relaxation, Dinner and overnight.

Ibyiwacu cultural village/ trekking Golden monkey/ Dian fossey hike and transfer to Rubavu
In the morning, you will gather at the park headquarters for a briefing. You may either go for golden monkey tracking or hike up to Karisoke research center, established by Dian Fossey, an American primatologist who dedicated all her life conserving the lives of mountain gorillas until she was killed and is buried there next to Digit, a mountain gorilla.
You will learn more about the lives of the mountain gorillas at the research center. On return, you will cross over to Rubavu district.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel near Lake Kivu.

Lake Kivu and city tour
After breakfast at your hotel, you will head for a kayak on Lake Kivu that will give you a beautiful sea feel as you watch over to see local fishermen and a number of bird species at different corners of the lake and later head for lunch.
After lunch, spend the rest of the evening refreshing and enjoy the sand on the beach.

Gisenyi City Tour and drive to Karongi district
In the morning, meet your driver and do a city tour in Gisenyi city.
Before noon, you'll visit the coffee farmers of Kivumu who will take you through the traditional process of making coffee, from the preparation of seeds, nursery, planting to getting a cup of home-produced coffee and tea plantation.
Afterward, drive to your lodge for checkout and lunch.
Afternoon drive to Karongi.

Amahoro and Napoleon island Island Tour
After an early morning breakfast, we will take boat rides visiting Amahoro (peace in English). Amahoro Island has a small restaurant, campsite and you can swim or play volleyball.
The next ride will take you to Napoleon Islands. The island features a brigade of fruit bats.
Afternoon, you'll drive about an hour to the Rwankuba sector for a sorghum beer experience with a local women's cooperative. You'll be taken into the whole procedure from sowing sorghum to having a freshly homemade sorghum beer and staple food for taste! Back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Transfer to Nyungwe forest national park
Early morning after breakfast, you will transfer to Nyungwe forest national park for the next activities in the forest.
On your way, you'll have a number of stops at different sites of interest, including the rock of Ndaba and learn the history behind this rock. Children earn a living narrating the story of this legendary rock.
Upon reaching the Rusizi town you will have lunch and proceed the journey to check-in at your hotel, dinner and night.

Canopy and Colobus monkey tracking
After breakfast, you will drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park headquarters for a briefing and then go to the forest for a Canopy walk. You will have sightings at eye-level of a number of unique wildlife inhabiting the canopies including birds, butterflies, and several monkey species.
After a canopy walk we will then drive back to the hotel for lunch and after lunch, you will track colobus monkeys at Gisakura.
The Angolan colobus, 1 of 5 species of black-and-white colobus that live in the forests of tropical Africa, live in a wide variety of habitats, including lowland, coastal, gallery, and montane forests. Nyungwe is the only forest in Africa where black and white colobus monkeys form extremely and unusually large super-groups, ranging up to 450 individuals. This number is larger than any other groups recorded for this species.

Chimpanzees tracking in Nyungwe Forest National park
You will have an early breakfast and report to the Park headquarters for a briefing on Chimpanzee tracking rules. You will then start the trek in the forest with the guides to find the chimpanzees.
The trekking is for 2 hours and you will have a chance to come eye to eye with the chimps and many monkey species including the silver monkeys, red tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys, olive monkeys as well as the gray cheeked mangabey.
The trek will also give you a chance to view many bird species. You will have some good time with the chimpanzees and watch them as they play, feed, and take care of their young ones.
After the tour you will drive back to your hotel for lunch, dinner and overnight.

waterfall and community walk
Early morning after breakfast, you will check in at the park's reception at Gisakura and get ready for the waterfall.
This activity takes about 4 hrs to and returns back to the park's reception and requires physical fitness as it involves walking into the forest. Along the way in the forest you will get a chance to see different monkeys like blue monkeys, owl faced monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey and birds.
Afternoon, you will have a deep understanding of how tea is produced. Have a 2 hours' tours at the factory.
Afterwards you will head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Transfer back to Kigali - Kigali city tour
Wake up and take breakfast, check out of your hotel and drive back to Kigali.
On your way, you will make a stopover and Visit the ethnographic museum in Huye and the royal palace of the King.
An onsite storyteller will narrate the facts on the pre-colonial kingdom's history.
