A mission to empower.
Supporting the Batwa and Vulnerable Communities.
We proudly support two community-based schools in Kasovu and Rushaga, which now provide free education to over 200 children — many of whom are Batwa or come from vulnerable households. These schools are not just places of learning, but safe havens that offer hope, dignity, and opportunity.- Your safari journey with us directly supports:
- Access to Quality Education: From school supplies to nutritious meals and trained teachers, we ensure these children have the tools they need to thrive.
- Safe Environments:For many Batwa girls and boys, the schools offer a secure space away from the trauma of past injustices and ongoing poverty.
- Community Inclusion: We actively involve local leaders, elders, and guardians in the development of programs to foster cultural preservation and community support.
Healing and Hope for the Batwa Women.
We work closely with Friends of Batwa International and Gorilla Eye Uganda, an organizations that support Batwa women who have endured unimaginable abuse and social exclusion due to deep-rooted cultural myths and discrimination.- Through our partnership and your tours, we help fund:
- HIV/AIDS care and awareness programs.
- Counseling and healing circles for survivors of sexual violence.
- Skills training in weaving, crafts, and small-scale farming.
- Maternal and child care services for young Batwa mothers.
10% of All Tour Profits Go Directly to Our Community Projects.
Every tour you book with Musana Tours and Travel makes a difference. 10% of our proceeds go directly toward education, health, and livelihood initiatives — not just for the Batwa, but also for other underserved families in the regions where we operate.- Educational supplies and teacher salaries.
- Health outreach and nutrition.
- Shelter and care for at-risk families.
- Tree planting and sustainability projects.
