SAFARI ITINERARY
10 Days Chimpanzees, Gorillas and Wildlife Safari- Uganda
After an early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by our company representative / driver who will drive you to Murchison falls national park (a 290 kms and 4-5 hours' drive). En route visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary located approximately halfway of journey to murchison falls national park from Kampala for Rhino trekking experience. After the activity you will have lunch then connect to Murchison falls national park entering through Kichumbanyobo gate from Masindi town. Arrive at the park late in the afternoon proceed to your lodge and rest.

Have an early morning breakfast and then headout for 6 am game drive in the delta area where you may spot various animal species like elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, hyenas, Impalas, and so much more. Return and have lunch then at 2pm, you will go for a launch cruise at the bottom of Murchison Falls along River Nile, enjoy streaming views of hippopotamus and Nile crocodiles along the Nile banks, as well as large numbers of different animal species getting down to quench their thirst and bathe.
After the boat cruise at the bottom of the falls, you will hike up the top of the falls from where you will be picked and driven back to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Hike to to the top of the falls is a perfect way to appreciate the maginificence of the world's most powerfull water falls

After Breakfast we will check out of the lodge and transfer to Kibale forest national park for Chimpanzee tracking. The journey is about 260 kilometers and may take 4-5 hours. Arrive in fort portal around afternoon and stop for a lunch break, after lunch proceed and Check in at the lodge for lunch, refresh and relax after a long drive. Dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast you will leave with your packed lunch and water. Your guide will drive you to the park headquarters for registration and briefing. After briefing, you will be assigned a group with a ranger who will guide you through the process of tracking chimpanzee. after here you will trek through the forest in search of the chimpanzees, During the trekk you will most likely meet several more primates such as lhoest monkeys, red checked managbeys, red and black collobus monkeys and various birds, feel free to ask your guide, he/she will gladly explain each one of them, trekking takes about 2-5 hours to find the chimpanzees. After finding them, you will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzee familytake pictures and abserve their feeding and living behaviors.
After tracking you will return to the starting point, be handed a certificate and then drive back to the lodge to refresh as we prepare for a 2-3 hours walk at Bigodi wetland sanctuary, the wetland is home to six different monkeys and its a perfect spot to build your list of monkeys. . Return to your lodge to refresh and spend the evening at leisure relaxing at your lodge.

After an early morning breakfast, your guide will drive you to Queen Elizabeth national park for wildlife safari, the drive takes 2-3 hours'. its a very scenic drive with views of the Rwenzori Block Mountainsthe glacial river Nyamwamba which originates from Rwenzori Mountains . Expect to see vas green gardens along the Mubuku irrigation scheme close to Kasese town.
You will have a chance to stop at the equator crossing monument for photo moments and a short experiment. On arrival, check in at the lodge for lunch the head to the boat safari later in the afternoon. This 2 hours boat safari on kazinga channel will expose you to a lot of wildlife and birds as most animals descend to the lake side to quench their thirst and take mud baths. Some of the animals expected include elephants, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, and birds like, night herons, ducks, hummer kops, Fish eagles kingfishers and so many others. After the boat trip, transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Early morning after breakfast, you will drive to the Kasenyi plains for a morning game drive that takes 4-5 hours, check in at the park entrance for clearance and proceed into the park. You will then begin your search for game animals like leopards, lions, Uganda Kobs, , elephants among others. Expect to see lots of birds in the park like the helmeted guinea fowl, Frankolins, coucals and weavers
Later in the afternoon you will transfer back to the lodge for lunch and refreshing and then prepare for the crater lakes visit late in the afternoon until evening, wait for sunset watch on the Kyambura escarpment thenu transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After Break fast, checkout of the lodge, embark on yet another scenic journey to the Switzerland of Africa, Kigezi, just after leaving the park, you will check in at the twin lake for photography but we will have more other stop overs for scenic shots. Arrive at the lodge in the evening, relax and refresh as you prepare for the upcoming big event.

After an early morning breakfast, You will be given packed lunch from the lodge and driven to the briefing point where you will check in and have a briefing. The briefing starts at 8:00am but you are expected to be there by 7:30am. After briefing, you will be assigned a gorilla family and a ranger guide before starting the activity, you will trek through the impenetrable forest in search of the gorillas, trekking this may take 4 hours or more depending on where the gorillas slept last night.
1 hour is given to the trackers to take photos and learn more about behaviors of the gorillas; after one hours, you will then trek back to the office for graduation and awarding certificates for all successful trekkers. . Your guide will then drive you to Lake Bunyonyi for Evenning relaxation.

Wake up at a leisure, take breakfast and start the day with a canoe or boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in Uganda dotted with 29 islands and a place of very many birds, the lake offers a beautiful morning sunrise and a cool breathe. Visit the punishment island and bwama island, upside down island, liprossy island and the historical sharps island, thereafter transfer back to the lodge for lunch and prepare for the afternoon hike to the top of the world for the wider views of the lake.
